Garden Removal Along a Fence Line in Bentley Park

This Bentley Park garden removal started with an overgrown bed running the length of the timber boundary fence. A large-leafed tree, thick vines and shrubs had crowded the fence line. The growth was dense enough that you couldn't see much of the fence behind it.

The owner needed the beds cleared so a new fence could go in. That meant everything had to come down to ground level and the green waste had to go.

We cut the trees, shrubs and vines back to the ground. The vines had spread through the whole bed, so we worked along the fence and took it all out. Once the growth was down, we cleared the debris away.

With the beds cut back, the timber fence was exposed again. Behind the growth we found bare soil, gravel and a concrete slab in the corner. The brick paver path along the house came back into view.

We left one grass-tree style plant standing and cut the rest to stumps at ground level. The green waste was loaded out and taken away, so the strip along the fence was clear for the fencer to work.

It's straightforward work, but it makes a difference when a fence needs replacing. A clear fence line gives the next trade room to pull the old fence and set the new one without fighting through growth.

By the end the beds were cut back to bare soil, gravel and slab, with the fence and the neighbouring shed visible again.
