Pressure Cleaning a Driveway, Side Slab and Patio in Whitfield

This job in Whitfield was pressure cleaning of the front driveway, a side concrete slab and a tiled patio. All three areas had a build-up of dirt and grime over time. The concrete had gone dark and stained, and the patio tiles looked dull.

We started on the front driveway. It's concrete leading to a double garage. The surface had years of dirt sitting in it. We surface cleaned the whole run and the difference showed straight away, the concrete coming up lighter and more even.

Next was the side slab beside the house. This runs toward a garden shed at the back. We had our petrol pressure washer parked on it to work through the length of the slab. It was heavily soiled before we started. After cleaning it came up noticeably lighter, with the shed and fence visible in the background.

The patio sits under the external stairs. It has grey stone-look tiles laid in a running-bond pattern. There was a plant stand and furniture in the area. The tiles had surface grime dulling them down. We cleaned them back and they came up brighter.

After the cleaning was done, we did a post-treatment with sodium hypochlorite across the surfaces. That helps keep them cleaner for longer once the water dries off.

It's straightforward work, but it makes a difference. Getting the dirt off concrete and tile brings back the original colour of the surface. No fancy gear needed beyond the petrol washer and the right method for each surface.
